When Jesus was twelve, his parents went to Jerusalem for Passover. Jesus did not return with them, and instead went to the temple, where he sat among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. The teachers were "amazed at his understanding and his answers." When his parents finally found him, a day later, they were no doubt a little frustrated. His response to them was that it should have been obvious to them that he would be in his Father's house.
Aside from being a bit sarcastic, this shows that even at this time, Jesus knew his true identity. Did he figure it out on his own? Did Mary or Joseph sit down with him at some point and tell him? Can you imagine what they conversation was like?
